George Fischer type V185 Pressure Relief valves may be used in pipelines where no greater pressure than the set line pressure is desired.

    PRESSURE RELIEF VALVES, PVC

    FAMILY FEATURES
    • George Fischer offers three different pressure regulating valve designs that either reduce, retain, or relieve pressure.
    • These valves provide highly accurate and stable pressure control irrespective of fluctuations of inlet pressure or changes in flow demand.
    • The valve body works by balancing an adjustable spring force, that pushes downward onto a diaphragm (or piston for new V182), against the force of the process fluid pushing upward. The valve is adjusted by an adjusting screw and secured with a locknut. The mechanical parts of the valve are isolated from the process fluid.
    • George Fischer pressure regulating valves can handle a wide range of flow and pressure control applications.
    • NOTE: HP cleaning and bagging available on request.

    APPLICATIONS
    • Biotechnical.
    • Beverages.
    • Chemicals.
    • Cosmetics.
    • Pharmaceuticals.
    • Electronics.
    • Food Processing.
    • Pollution Control.
    • Semi-conductor.
    • Water Supply and Sewage.

Choice of three styles of +GF+ pressure control valves:
    • Type V182 pressure regulating valve.
    • Type V185 pressure relief valve.
    • Type V186 back pressure regulating valve.

    FEATURES
    • Type V185 Pressure Relief Valves serve to keep system pressure constant, to balance out pressure pulsation and to reduce pressure peaks in process systems.
    • Relieves excess pressure in a piping system.
    • Provides highly accurate and stable pressure control.
    • Dimension range 1/2" - 2" (20 mm - 63 mm).
    • Molded PVC, Polypropylene, and PVDF bodies.
    • Diaphragms and seals in EPDM and PTFE.
    • FNPT, spigot, flange, IR Plus, socket union, or BCF end connections.
    • The valve operates when the set line pressure is exceeded by 10%. The excess liquid is discharged through the branch. The valve is adjusted by a set screw and secured with a locknut.
    • No dead space in valve body.
    • Mechanical parts are isolated from the process fluid.
    • Seals and diaphragms are EPDM or PTFE. Combinations and end connections, other than those below, may be available.
    • Thread insert on lower body for mounting.
